Eggling Day 164

Couldn't have done this sooner. The poor babies were root-bound to the max. I was hoping I could separate the two to give them more room in the big pot, but it's become impossible to tell where one ends and the other begins. Estha and Rahel.

"They were strangers who had met in a chance encounter.

They had known each other before Life began."

(Roy, Arundhati. The God of Small Things. New York: Random House, 1997.)

Eggling Day 142

Approaching the 5-month limit of the egg...will have to transplant soon. These guys are so robust that they've gradually been cracking the shell.

The scent they give off is incredible. =)

Eggling Day 101

Big change since last time. =) I also like how my desk gets progressively messier with each update, lololololol.

Eggling Day 69

Estha slants a bit towards the sun. But overall, they are growing so well.

Eggling Day 55

Not sure whether it's because I moved Rahel, but Estha's overtaking her in height by leaps and bounds. Her bigger new leaves suggest she's fine, though.

SO MUCH LOVE ♥

Eggling Day 49

The second set of leaves are budding on both. =) Sprout number 1 was so loosely attached to the soil that she was knocked onto her side one day simply from watering, so I transplanted her to the center, behind sprout number 2. I don't know why I think of #1 as a female and #2 as male, but they both need names now. WILL TAKE SUGGESTIONS ♥ ♥ ♥

Eggling Day 37 - 42

UP-UP-UPDATE: Day 42 (1/12/12)
OH NOES~ SEED CAP STUCK ON NOGGIN, WHAT DO?

*____*

I've only seen beans sprout before, so it was fascinating to watch these guys come out butt-first, wiggle butt around for a day to find soil, plop in, and then retrieve head out of seed. Fascinating and not to mention SO INCREDIBLY MOE. ~__~

Day 41 (1/11/12)
A second sprout! =O See if you can spot it. *___*

I haven't been this giddily joyful in a very long while. Life is good.

Day 39 (1/9/12)
*__*

Day 37: A sprout! =O See if you can spot it.

The paper containing the seeds started to disintegrate about a week in, and in any case, it didn't look like any of those sprouted. I've been gradually adding the additional given seeds and still have around half of those left. Currently debating whether to be happy with this one darling sprout or try to get a second one in...

Eggling Day 1

It really is about time I do this, birthday gift from Rez almost a year and half ago and all that.
