Spring, Ranunculus

Kind of unrelated and already (feeling like sort of) old news

But the greater key moment/feeling here is... Such stir, inside. It has been a while, has it not...? Antsy, restless, bloom

春よ、夢うつつ

Edit 4/30/22:

Upgraded boot disk to a 1Tb SSD, swapped in a new power source, and upgraded to liquid cooling with Ceres's help. Fun little excursion spread over two weekends, never seen Weijia this animated or talkative 😂 It was good to see Brownie and Big Eyes again, too

Good stuff to mark Anameleth's 6th birthday (birth month, rather), all in all.

Anamelech

Significant enough to be my first machine that warrants a name. The beginning of yet another era.

Processor: Intel Core i7-5820K CPU @3.3GHz
RAM: 64GB
Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980Ti
Local Disk (C:) is a 500GB internal SSD, plus two 2-TB internal storage drives (also lovingly) named Baraqiel (D:) and Yomiel (E:). Windows 10 Professional x64.
Main display: Acer 25" (2560x1440)
Second display: Dell 24" (1900x1200)
Got the basic Alienware keyboard + basic Dell gaming mouse that the school uses, for familiarity of touch.

Dell U2412M

Got the same monitor used at school. Now (2D) work can finally happen at home, too. T__T THANK YOU SO MUCH JING ILY

From even just looking at monni I automatically get the urge/reflex to plug in tabby and to start working. It's beyond belief how good this is. I'll even know how colors look now, imagine that! Maybe I'll draw more for reals this time?!

[365-30] Intuos4 Medium

In the vein of the last time I had an upgrade:

So it looks like I get an upgrade every five-ish years?? Here's to hoping that this one will last me much longer than that. Things are fixed now, but I had a mini-panic attack earlier as I ran into the common bug of missing pressure sensitivity in SAI.

Differences I noticed already:
- Significantly less bugs in software
- Different drawing surface feel
- Greater pressure sensitivity
- Bulkier tablet, will need special case

Still getting used to:
- Flipping pen over for eraser (!!)
- Left-hand scroll wheel shortcuts for zoom and brush size (!!!)
- Pen nib does wear faster (...)

Needless to say, I'm still overall thrilled. Thanks for doing this for me, Jing.
