PHOTOMEME pt. 4

Day 19 - A picture of you when you were little.

Day 20 - A picture of somewhere you'd love to travel.
Though I wouldn't, unless personal ties enable me to visit. I'm quite against the notion of tourism.

Day 21 - A picture of something you wish you could forget.
...In retrospect, it feels really really strange that that ever happened. Then again, I was pretty removed from physical reality for the majority of college. This is less about wanting to forget than pure ??! that it happened at all.

Day 22 - A picture of something you wish you were better at.
Accurate recreation of dreamscapes. Also just finishing up/sticking through with projects in general.

Day 23 - A picture of your favorite book.
Ugh, this is so sad. My favorite books have the ugliest covers ever, to the point that I refuse to have them anywhere near my hd evar. So here's some awesome fanart instead.

Day 24 - A picture of something you wish you could change.

PHOTOMEME pt. 3

Day 13 - A picture of your favorite band or artist.
Like I mentioned elsewhere, I'm strangely not at all minding Kyo's baldness here. As partial as I am toward Lotus, it's still a very similar song compared to Hageshisa-ect.-etc.-rest-of-mile-long-song-name. I'm slightly anxious.

Day 14 - A picture of someone you could never imagine your life without.
I'd be nothing without this vessel as far as everyone else is concerned.

Day 15 - A picture of something you want to do before you die.

Day 16 - A picture of someone who inspires you.

Day 17 - A picture of something that has made a huge impact on your life recently.

Day 18 - A picture of your biggest insecurity.
Accurate translation between representation and perception of myself by others. In general, any instance where judgment is involved, yet control does not fall into my hands. Picture is unrelated.

PHOTOMEME pt. 2

Day 07 - A picture of your most treasured item.
Interesting how it took me a bit of thinking and searching to realize that out of all the things in my studio now, that spider plant is the one thing I'd be most reluctant to leave behind. It was dying under the care of a suite mate freshman year, and by the time we were moving out, it had less than a handful of yellow, withering leaves remaining. She marked it for the dumpster...so I took it in. All the plant wanted was the loving attention of someone admiring it for 2-3 minutes each day. It's a tiny commitment compared to most pets, and it's a guaranteed trick to bring any dying plant back to blooming life.

My classic answer would most likely be this. But like I mentioned earlier, that spider plant came to mind surprisingly first.

Day 08 - A picture that makes you laugh.
Pretty sure this was one of the first to get me laughing IRL.

Day 09 - A picture of the person who has gotten you through the most.
...This is very relevant.

Day 10 - A picture of the person you do the most screwed up things with.
.....THIS IS JUST THE FIRST THING THAT COMES TO MIND LMAO. I'M SORRY, I'M SORRY

Day 11 - A picture of something you hate.

Day 12 - A picture of something you love.

More to come. Unrelatedly, this is surprisingly addictive to watch.

PHOTOMEME

Day 01 - A picture of yourself with fifteen facts.
1. This was the first picture I ever took for camwhoring purposes...for people online, no less (YSRMB on AIM). Check file name for exact date.
2. WHO IS THE FRIEND IN QUESTION?! ONLY SHE KNOWS. *WINK*
3. Enjoy the view of my then-short-haired mom holding my then-seven-month-old brother.
4. I always thought that apartment was one of the cooler ones I've lived in due to the mirror-wall behind me.
5. MAH ALMOST-NEXT DOAR NEIGHBAR LAHRRA USE'TA VISET ME AHL THE TIME THAR
6. First (and only) instance my hair was ever that long.
7. I still have that shitty blurry webcam sitting in my electronics drawer, though it's obviously unused now.
8. For the last month or two of 8th grade, I moved to this place from Forest Hills, but didn't bother to transfer schools. This meant I had 3-ish hours of daily combined commute going to and from junior high.
9. Because of the above, I could no longer watch YGO on KidsWB after school. This was extremely upsetting at the time.
10. Also because of 8, I got into handheld gaming with the purchase of a GBA using lunch money I proudly saved up. This was the part where I first discovered Castlevania.
11. That summer was when my dad was between quitting at NYU and finding a new job (what eventually ended up in Ohio). He sat unemployed for two months, and showed some of the worst temper I have ever seen from him.
12. I started using the comp/going online regularly by this time, and the fact I was talking with strangers severely disturbed my parents. Looking back, this is where I first began censoring things from them.
13. We installed XP for the first time with Faye's dad's help that summer. We were using Windows ME prior to that.
14. Not a fact...but did my jaw used to be not as square when I was younger? lulwat.
15. I still have that shirt. Tried wearing it once four years later (summer before college), but gave up and put it away for good.

Day 02 - A picture of you and the person you have been close with for awhile. Unfortunately, I don't have pictorial documentation of when this first started happening. BUT IT CERTAINLY HAS BEEN 'A WHILE.'

Day 03 - A picture of the cast from your favorite show.

Day 04 - A picture of your night.
HA HA HA I WISH. But it was still a good one. Can't wait for this year's.

Day 05 - A picture of your favorite memory.
I don't assign favorites, but this certainly was very special.

Day 06 - A picture of a person you'd love to trade places with for a day.
...No one. I only realized quite recently that, since as young as kindergarten in China, I had habitually wished I was someone else on a very regular basis. This persisted all the way through...very distinctly, half of high school. It stopped only after I lived on my own, away from my parents, for the first time. Every one of those kids I wished I were either a) did not suffer the same parental pressures I did, or b) would be the "perfect" child in my parent's eyes. It had never occurred to me that something was very wrong with this until, like I mentioned, very recently, after the whole commotion over the WSJ article on Amy Chua. I love my parents, but this is getting more and more off-topic. I wouldn't want to trade places with anyone who isn't me. Now, if I could trade places with myself from certain points earlier in life...that would be a different story.

Also it just occurred to me now that maybe I'm supposed to do one of these PER day. WHICH WOULD MAKE A WHOLE LOT MORE SENSE WITH THE NUMBERED DAYS THING. OH WELL. I'll just do the rest in similar bundles over the week...
