Whirlwind

I'm still shaking so much that I'm afraid my hand can't do more. For now. Even though you don't care for this type of thing anyway.

I'll wait.

I miss you.

Eggling Day 37 - 42

UP-UP-UPDATE: Day 42 (1/12/12)
OH NOES~ SEED CAP STUCK ON NOGGIN, WHAT DO?

*____*

I've only seen beans sprout before, so it was fascinating to watch these guys come out butt-first, wiggle butt around for a day to find soil, plop in, and then retrieve head out of seed. Fascinating and not to mention SO INCREDIBLY MOE. ~__~

Day 41 (1/11/12)
A second sprout! =O See if you can spot it. *___*

I haven't been this giddily joyful in a very long while. Life is good.

Day 39 (1/9/12)
*__*

Day 37: A sprout! =O See if you can spot it.

The paper containing the seeds started to disintegrate about a week in, and in any case, it didn't look like any of those sprouted. I've been gradually adding the additional given seeds and still have around half of those left. Currently debating whether to be happy with this one darling sprout or try to get a second one in...

Alas, my cognition

I'm having these moments more and more frequently now. It's a bit disarming.

1. Going on a shopping trip using someone else's list, even if it's as short as two items. Blank out, left wondering what the second thing was.

2. About to do something, full of excitement and eagerness, and forget what it was after a distraction as minor as opening a new tab. Left wide-eyed and dumbfounded over what I was thinking of doing, barely even a second ago, while still feeling the gush of enthusiasm.

3. Jumbling up letters in a typed word, and not in the typo/timing manner. e.g. hitting t first while trying to type "continue." This happens sometimes when writing by hand, too. I catch myself while doing it. That's a good thing, right?

4. Stuttering/misusing basic day-to-day words. Thankfully, this is mostly limited to Chinese. But still scary to have to pause, think, and figure out what part of "xí wӑn jῑ" [dishwasher] I messed up pronouncing.

5. Forgetting common words. This happens mostly with English. e.g. totally unable to recall the word "towel," and having to resort to describing qualities of the item to others in hopes that they can identify whatever the fuck I'm talking about.

6. ...

Compressed lips for maximum impact

To wield words as pixel brushstrokes to lash meaning, feeling, pulse. There is some wild satisfaction in that plus added convenience of touch (plus) speed (minus) carpal pain of dragging sore wrist through scratchy scraggy lead and pulp and mixed fibrous mesh.

Fine balance sobre finer bounds.

Needle-sewn lips.

Up, down, up. Zig zagging through. Like the pain of swallowing nettles, once I get through it's through.

WoT covers that aren't actually hideous??!?

Not saying that these agree spot-on with how I visualize the characters or manage to avoid the cheese factor altogether, but they at least marginally depict scenes that really even happens in the books. Versus, you know, depicting completely made up crap that doubles as a deterrent for potential new readers and a major embarrassment factor for actual readers. Too bad they will likely be limited to ebooks forevar.

Combined with the attractor of not having to carry around 5-pound bricks, I think it's officially time to give these a reread again. E-readers are a godsend tailored specifically for WoT.

Most inspiring ever. Will post endproduct(s) once I gain the urge to edit.
