I wish I could install a tap into my head and drain out this dullness, like how they bleed syrup from a tree. Just short of actual pain, but so, so very bothersome and disruptive, hampering toward productivity.

One summer in 2013, I read a book called Gemini that broke me out of that spell. I was scared to even touch the book henceforth. Maybe, if I were to open it again, this time it would lead me to dive back, nose in?

I miss my source of passion. I don't want you to only exist as a flicker of warmth at the bottom of a recessed well, available only if I reach, hand pulled through head, innard my self.

History and principles of animation

Walk cycle was all Photoshop and jump cycle all traditional (mechanical pencil with blue col-erase lead + 0.5 Micron on animation paper with light box), but Photoshop was used as if I was drawing on paper. Put together in AfterEffects.

When I get unlazy I will maybe finish and post her redesigns, sigh. I wish I knew how to be less timid with acting. I need lessons.

Picture telephone

What I had been busy organizing for the last month. The first person in each chain drew whatever they wanted, and each following person was supposed to redraw the same picture in their own style/ interpretation. Each person could only see the image directly before theirs in the chain, and neither team knew what the other team was doing until the final composite image was put together. Strange coincidences occurred.

Overall the experience was a fun one, but toward the end, the whole thing that comes with leadership and yadda yadda became too much to bear for this time. Still, it was awesome to gather this many old and new people.

From even just looking at monni I automatically get the urge/reflex to plug in tabby and to start working. It's beyond belief how good this is. I'll even know how colors look now, imagine that! Maybe I'll draw more for reals this time?!

Random odds and ends

I just realized I fucking have NO finished pieces to show. Not a single fucking one, WTF. So much fail. T___T Can't even say Maya's the reason, because even those still need final tweakings before they're show-worthy. Ugh.
