278. Animation

Support Masaaki Yuasa's next creation of art.

Why is it that the medium of animation is forever doomed to be perceived as entertainment for children in the West? Why is there so little consumer interest in anime outside of hentai in the East? Why is it that true artists who attempt to push the boundaries of what the medium can achieve penalized by a bad market, much less rewarded or encouraged to produce new work? Let's not even get into the issue of piracy here; in order to access works like Kaiba outside of Japan, there simply exists no alternative. In order to appreciate, I am forced to steal.

Can kickstarter really be the answer to this catch-22? If there exists even the slightest hope that the tides of this ocean could be turned, then please, Mr. Yuasa, take my money.
