314. Ten years of Hades Sanctuary

Always and forever a classic due to the utterly flawless execution of this panning shot, if absolutely nothing else:


Happy birthday to the best arc of Saint Seiya. I'm almost inclined to rewatch yet again...but don't recommend that others do for the same reasons I wouldn't recommend anyone today to play, say, Pokemon Blue. Yes, it's a classic. Yes, it's the father of an entire genre. But much of its merit rests on nostalgia and personal meaning, and to first-time viewers of the 21st century, it contains too much melodrama, too much lying face down, too many manly tears, etc. Things like continuity and ample screen time to develop characters are later inventions in anime that these guys were born too unluckily early to catch. Yet, as a result, so much is left open to imagination...

Cue endless fan frustration and uncontrollable doujin outpour.
